Mantrailing is a great fun sport for dogs and owners, learning to work as a team to find a specific person from their scent.
Our vision is to open the opportunity of “Mantrailing” in the scenic backdrop Highlands of Scotland. A fun sport which will deepen the bond between dogs and owners. This wonderful sport will bring a new experience where the natural ability of your dog to find a specific person by scent enriches and empowers their bond with you. Unlocking the problem solving and team bonding abilities you and your dog will quickly learn the fun sport of mantrailing.
The mental and physical exercise will provide your dog a job to do, you will learn to read their body language, this communication provides a stronger bond and understanding. No prior training required; all dogs can attend our introduction workshops. Low impact trails makes it easier on joints.
We will always welcome those people or dogs with mobility issues.
Dogs with a purpose will have a more enriched and fulfilled life, their demeanour is calmer as they grow in confidence to learn to focus and problem solve.
Discover the fun sport of Mantrailing, suitable for all dogs, including reactive, all breeds welcome, any age including puppies, seniors or anywhere in between.
A dog has a great sense of smell, their ability to identify specific people from their scent is incredible to see.
Dogs of all abilities shapes and sizes share this common skill, which is used by many organisations to trace missing people, trapped in buildings also in different environments.
Here is an opportunity to learn the fun side of a serious skill where working with your dog you will learn how to make that bond stronger, you will learn the value of reward and how to read your dog.
We always begin with an introduction workshop and follow up with increasing challenges through progressive trails, you will learn to trust your dogs judgement and where necessary help with passive influence.
Following up from the introduction workshop you will be able to work through progressive challenges and trails, monitor your progress and work towards assessments.
The dog learns and adapts to the new sensation of obedience free exercise.
